SPGBK Donated Over $7,000 Worth of Watches to Charlotte Mecklenburg Teachers

Aug 20, 2022 - Last month, SPGBK Watches launched its first-ever Back to School initiative to celebrate the teachers returning to school this academic year. The watch company donated over $7,000 worth of watches to Renaissance West STEAM Academy.
The STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) Academy is a CMS Pre-K to 8th grade school that serves as a community hub for The Renaissance neighborhood and has an integrated focus on academics, health and family services, youth programs and community engagement.
From Principal, Dwight Thompson Jr.:
“The watch donation was a huge morale booster and signaled that the community has their back. It is so important that community partners wrap around educators because oftentimes educators need more than just a "thank you" or "we appreciate you" said Dwight Thompson, Jr., Principal, Renaissance West STEAM Academy. “Spring Break watches showed the staff at Renaissance West what they mean in a tangible way. The teachers love their watches and every time they look at this kind gesture they know that someone in their backyards loves them and appreciates the work they do for the students”.

Their enthusiasm is what drives our students' aspirations”, said Shelton Morgan, Assistant Principal Renaissance West STEAM Academy. “Each day as we walk through the hallways, we see your presence and know that SPGBK is there. As we continue to educate, inspire and uplift the youth, we are humbled to know that we are not alone in this fight. We have a true partner, and a friend in you”.
